Proud sponsors at annual charity Boxing Dinner with Boxing Icon Tyson Fury

Blou Construction Ltd was proud to be one of the main sponsors at an exciting evening of Championship Boxing on Monday, at the London Hilton Hotel on Park Lane.

On the night, Hall of Fame promoter Frank Warren presented the prestigious ‘Nordoff Robbins Boxing Icon Award’ which for the second year running was sponsored by Blou Construction, to ‘The Gypsy King’ Tyson Fury, in celebration of his sporting achievements and contribution to Boxing.

Now in its 11th Year, the event aims to raise all-important funds to help Nordoff Robbins, the UK’s leading music therapy charity that uses the power of music to enrich the lives of people affected by life limiting illness, isolation or disability. The event also raises funds for the London ex-Boxer Association.

Guests were led through the evening by BBC One’s Strictly Come Dancing veteran Anton du Beke, and an exclusive live performance from the legendary Rick Astley.

The event featured a night of quality live boxing, including a battle for the WBO European Flyweight Championship between ‘Horny’ Harvey Horn and Ijaz Ahmed.

Past celebrity guests at the event have included presenter and philanthropist Katie Piper, Ska veterans Madness, EastEnders favourite Jamie Borthwick, pop-rock royalty Busted, stage star and singer Beverley Knight and English tenor Alfie Boe.

Previous boxing honourees include Ricky Hatton, David Haye and John Conteh, with Fury now being inducted into the Nordoff Robbins Boxing Dinner hall of fame.
